Hi we have had a new bathroom suite installed,

Since installation we are suffering from quite bad water hammer, every device in the house, wc washing machine causes this effect. We are on a mains fed combi system.

Two approaches have been suggested. Firstly installing a pressure reducer on the mains in - we have quite high water pressure being at the bottom of a hill. Haven't had the pressure measured yet

Then installing a hammer arrestor ? - it was suggested I install this in the bathroom or anywhere on the cold system. I'm not sure.

Last night the shower sprung a leak - it has only been in light use for 3 weeks. There has been a suggestion that the hammer caused this - or it could just be something wasn't connected or tightened correctly at install.

Any advise would be welcome, thanks
