Hello Team,
Does anyone know where you can buy a long-handled 'key' for isolating the new united utilities 'outside in the pavement' water main valve? The valve actuator is a 17mm green hexagonal hex-head.
I imagine its about two foot long with a 'T' handle, but I can't find one even on the internet.

Can anyone help?! Many thanks

Good idea to tape the socket and bars together with Gaffa tape.

Yeah, I have used a socket by hand, but I want something the Mrs could use in an emergency as this 'tap' is easier to get to than the one under the floor in our downstairs bog.....geddit?!

Also need more socket extensions than there are in my set!

Hello Team,..........

team? TEAM? Why this use of an industry-standard four letter word? We're just a bunch of virtually associated, dysfunctional, saddos.

My local builder merchant Jewson's sell them.

Regards,

From the dysfunctional, saddos TEAM.

They are normally left in the hole - I'm assuming you have a meter box on the pavement? Borrow your neighbour's when you need it!

If a 17mm socket fits, then buy a new one for a quid or so then go to your nearest back street welder and ask him to weld a bit of steel formed like a T bar to it. Easy and really cheap :D

TELL you what, I'll sell you one for a fiver ( I'll steal MY neighbour's  )
