Hi all,

We had a new kitchen fitted in May. I removed all the old units and chipped off some moldy plaster work.
After the room was plastered, I noticed a socket backbox was completed rusted. So bad, I couldn't get the screws out to replace it. (not sure if the plasterers should have said something at the time) We have noticed a damp patch and some mould in this area of the kitchen. See photo.

I checked under the kick boards and noticed a water patch on the wall (but not coming up from ground level (the floor is raised and has airbricks). I have check outside, the wall in rendered and cannot see any sign of where water could be coming in in that location.

What does it look like the problem could be? there are no pipes on or near that wall.
