Not new extension . Area is no more than 3 feet that is collecting water in soil near base of house . Instead of concrete at back there is soil

Where is the water coming from? Is it just rain, or do you have downpipes or run off from other areas

Your best bet is to improve the drainage of the soil. Stopping rain falling is always tricky.

Have you got a photo?

If its raining, where is the water that falls on the sheet going to go?

If you can add a photo, I'll be able to help more, as your OP is not that clear!

Look up a 'french drain'. Basically, you give the water somewhere to drain into. Dig a trench at the low part, fill it with pebbles, then the gaps between the pebbles fill with the water, then it will need somewhere to discharge the water to. The french drain, can then be covered over by the soil/grass.

Something wrong with your gutter, downpipe or drain. Post photos of them all please.

Nothing wrong with gutter downpipe or drain . Just a gap where rainwater goes on to soil instead of concrete .

If you mean the downpipe does not discharge into a drain, that is an obvious drainage fault.

Show us those pictures

Where is the nearest drain for the house gutters?
