Please help! I have a Gainsborough 2000X electric shower which worked perfectly until last Monday. Now in order to get any hot water we have to turn the dial up to the maximum heat setting and this only gives us a dribble of water. The pressure is great when turned down to cold! We did have some tilers in the week before but the only thing they removed was the shower hose, i.e they didn't touch the control box on the wall.

Any ideas are most welcome?

Had same problem recently, was advised the the water heater in shower was broken and was not economical to replace so had to buy new shower

check theres no debris in the hose or the filters either end, then go shopping for the new shower. ;) One of the elements has packed in by the sound of it.

All electric showers work the same, when you turn the temperature dial, its actually varying the flow of water thru the heater, so hotter will flow slowly and colder will flow fast.

With an element out, the water must flow twice as slowly in order that it can heat up sufficiently.
