Hello all.

I'm currently having a loft conversion which includes a wet room. The water pressure is not great in the house anyway and I asked the plumber for a solution for this as the water will have further to travel to the wet room.

He has come back with a quote of £1200 to install a Hot water tank and a pressure pump which, he reckons, will increase the flow of the hot water throughout the house and there will be no pressure loss if more that one tap is running.

I don't know which tank or pump he will use but I have a Worcester cdi 28 combi boiler.

Is this a fair price and will it do what he has suggested?

Yes!

The Grundfoss home booster is the the usual one to fit. Costs about £1000 and £200 to fit.

They need about 1 square metre of floor and make a bit of a noise so are best in a basement or outhouse.

Thanks for the reply Tony.

He is looking to fit a megaflow pressurized tank which will be fitted in the loft as it not noisey. I don't know which model yet but looking online the cheapest model starts at about £600 and can reach £1000+

If so is £600 labour a fair price?
