I'm trying to locate my stop tap in my flat. I think it has been tiled over. How can i find it without ripping walls and tiles out. If I had an issue with water now I couldn't shut off the mains water. The meter is external but that is locked by the water company. Any advice would be helpful

When i called they told me that belongs to the water company. When I get home im going to call again, if they don't cough up some access. Then i'll just look into having a new supplier. I'd just rather not have the hassle, but needs must and all that....I'd still like to know how to track down the internal tap, if it's possible
