Water Tank in the loft

I live in the top floor of a council estate.
I`d like to move the electric boiler in the loft.
DO I need the permission from the council?
Full will weight 200 kg. Do I need to confirm the loft will hold the weight?

You need to ask your council, you will need to provide suitable strengthing for this unit, not doing so would be dangerous, you wouldn't want four hundredweight of scalding water paying an un-announced visit.
