whats the stuff called that i can put on brick work/mortar that will make it water proof and the water just run of it,as ive found why one of my windows is leaking, its been motared up in one corner but feels very wet to the touch so i assume its soaked up water and that as fed through on to plasterwork inside,

It won't help, just trap the moisture in the brickwork, you need to seal the frame correctly.
