The mods seem to suss him out, not sure how, I would have thought a VPN would make him invisible.....but I know little about such things.

I'm not sure that the VPN has much to do with it, more that it's flipping clear that it's Himmy within a few posts! He is unique..

VPN will mask your origin whilst giving a pretty untraceable IP(back to a poole of IPs shared by VPN company) as long as you are using other precautions to stop cookies etc.

MOD: Its pretty obvious, style of writing, punctuation quirks, phrases, tone, etc. Also jumping straight onto GD and trading punches straight away is a pretty good give away. Some people are remarkably transparent.
