just called builders yard to get a quote for the blocks to build the porch. never knew there were so many. What blocks do i need and do i need 7n or 3.6n. I already have some lightweight blocks for the inner skin.
Foundation will be blues.

3.5n blocks above dpc and a combination of 7n blocks (dense solid) and class b engineering bricks (or your blues) below dpc.

cheers m8, would i take it you could come straight out the ground with dense blocks and dp membrane on them without the need for blues at all?

You could....but it would look wazz.

It is preferred to show a couple of courses of brick, or mebbe more depending on ground levels, directly below the (unrendered) dpc.

i made that sound wrong, what i meant was say on the outside skin would be 3 rows of blue because its visible but the inner skin would be a row of 7nm blocks and the dpc ontop. Theni block on top with 3.6 blocks. Therefore there would be no need to waste money on blues for the internal skin.
