We have had and old gas fire removed and got a new open flame one. We are getting someone in the install the fire and he has already re routed the pipe ready for installation.
We need to get the fire back and hearth in ready for him to fit the fire.
What can we use for the back? We have seen expansive marble type ones and plastic type ones and like neither.
Are there any out there that are just plain? Can we make our own and paint it to a colour of our choice? If so what material/board should it be?
