Find yourself a local electrician to connect up your new cooker to the cooker switch you have in the kitchen, it should not be much of a job nor expensive.

If the Ebay seller is local to you it might be possible to offer a bit of extra cash so that they will wire it up for you. They will have to disconnect it their end anyway.

i just wondered if i could just put plug on end and plug it in socket pictured or would i need to have a new electric box thingy put in whichyou wire the cooker directly into..thankyou for previus replys

If you have the cooker switch on the wall like in your photo it has to be wired to that. If it is an all electric range cooker you can't fit a 13 amp plug on it. You might find there is another terminal fitting mounted lower than the cooker switch, behind the cooker space. This is often put in so the cable is hidden and does not have to go directly to the cooker switch itself.
