Hi All

I'm having a nightmare trying to sort out a door for my lounge. Since the addition of real wood flooring it has reduced the height of the hole significantly. I need a 6 panel door that is either 75" in height or one that I can cut, saw or plane down to size. I'm so confused as B&Q and wicks only stock 78" doors which you can only remove 5mm from each edge. I'm assuming I need a solid door but I'm confused what type. I've seen terms such as dowelled?

many thanks

Rob

You could get a hollow door cut the bottom to suit the height you want & glue in a new bottom rail

Thanks for the tip. I've spoken with a carpenter and he said the same thing. I'll give it a go tomorrow. I suppose the worse thing to happen will be a big pile of doors all hacked to pieces on the drive!

Thanks

Rob
