what flooring for kitchen?

At the moment our small Victorian conversion studio flat has vinyl floor tiles in kitchen, bathroom and toilet. they need replacing - what is the best flooring type?

this flat is an investment we want to sell as soon as poss - is cheap vinyl ok? Or worth splashing out on some better flooring to impress buyers?

Don't buy cheap flooring, you get edge curls! Either buy quality vinyl. Or put down a permanent hard eg-tile etc-floor.
