Recently had a threshold/internal step put in made of oak to replace the old mdf one . It seems there is a huge choice of osma oil products - what would I need for best protection and natural look. Just an oil or a protector as well ? If so could you recommend a kind.

It is indoors but can get a bit wet from foot traffic etc . See photo

Thanks

Any hard wax oil will be OK, OSMO or Fiddies.

I have also used OSMO worktop oil on shelves/doors as I had some left.

Step looks smart, good way to cover up the threshold.

I'd go for the matt original.

Don't use the raw, it's got white colour in it.

Get clear floor paint. It's usually labeled as diamond hard. Oil based ones will shine. 3 coats will protect and water proof. I would polymer sealant the edges to prevent water seeping down the sides.
