What sort of wood should I use...

.. to make a fence like this? I'm going to paint it black, and it won't be touching the ground.

Also where would you suggest i get it from. Can i pick it up from bnq?

Bets type of paint to use also?

You need to use treated timber. the image looks like 4x1'' There are much cheaper and better places to buy timber than b&q.

As for stain cuprinol have a good range. IF you can strecth to it a solvent based one will last much better and be more opaque than a water based one.

I use cuprinol opaque fence and cladding stain.
