We have an octagonal concrete base around 4.5m in diameter left over from an above ground pool which I've recently taken down and it's not in the prettiest condition so we're looking for ideas that don't involve digging it up and getting rid of it, instead, covering it. We're thinking about decking but I understand you should not lay the decking joists directly on concrete or soil. Is that correct? Looking for ideas guys & gals.
