What to use behind these shower wall boards

My bother is 99% sure he's having shower wall boards in his refurbed bathroom.
The walls are a mix concrete block (painted) and part stud work.

What is the correct thing to put up on the wall before the shower wall boards?
Been looking at STS boards (wickes), can you use plasterboard adhesive to stick these directly to the block wall?

STS boards can be stuck with the adhesive they sell for that purpose but any equivalently suitable adhesive from a tube would do it.

You may have a problem with using grab adhesive onto concrete block walls (that's all the panel adhesive is), it's might not grip properly - they usually have that on their specifications. Dot and dab with a tile adhesive may be the best approach.
