Hi to everyone!

Could anyone please help me by identifying this part please?
What it does?
Where it should be refitted?

Whilst replacing the pollen filter it fell out on removal of the interior trim.

Probably the wrong area to post in, Nigel but I think its part of the glovebox stay mechanism.

I had the pollen filter out of my Peugeot 508 yesterday (same thing, different badge). Pig of a job. Didn't remove the glovebox but that would make it easier.
