I do have a spark coming back to do a board upgrade etc, he gave me a few pointers about the numbers of cables to back boxes but he won't be back to connect the sockets until the plasterer is done.
Confirm with him in writing that he will issue an EIC for design, construction and testing of everything, not just the CU, and that he will notify Building Control that he has done the work - again all of it, not just the CU replacement.
Your wife might have thought so, but mine just couldn't decide where the accessories were to go, so I found sticking 2 feet in each time was a better strategy..
