Update:
Did the wiring over the weekend and I am pleased to say that my cock up has been successfully averted..
All of the lights are working and my Mrs is happy with me again
The only casualty was my one gang switch which blew following my diabolical wiring

On picture how you have wired.
1) Remove brown from terminal with two red wires.
2) Remove on of the blacks going to blue wire.
3) Use another block to join the brown and black wires removed together.
OK not perfect as you may have line and neutral swapped, but it will work.
