Am looking at replacing a 7-way MK board with a larger split board of around 12 ways

Crabtree are good, and not a bad price either, good brands to go for are square d, wylex, crabtree, GET, avoid any cheap tat such as, Proteus, chint etc
Wouldn't touch another SquareD.
Very happy with Wylex and you can get 'em anywhere. (Not at B & Q prices though! I pay £32 + VAT for 12-way split load insulated board and £1 + VAT for breakers.)
