Hi

I'm getting an F4 fault on our Whirlpool DWF B10 (4 flashes) which I understand indicates a draining problem. There is standing water in the bottom of the unit when I open it. Does this mean it is a drain pump problem? If so, is this a DIY fix or will I need an engineer? It's a fitted unit, Ikea supplied, about 5 years old, if that makes a difference.

Many thanks in advance.

There are many excellent posts on the forum about this particular problem. You could perhaps start by scrolling down to the bottom of this page & checking out "similar topics". Alternatively use the search facility, you'll find plenty of subject matter on the issue. If you need any further assistance please post the service number on the door lip. Good luck :D

I've searched through other posts and it looks like my first port of call is the drain hose, but I can't seem to access it.

It's a fitted unit, there's no panel beneath the door and I can't remove the appliance to access the back. Is it call-an-engineer time?

Cheers

I imagine it will have to come out whether you get a service engineer or not, otherwise you won't be able to check anything. You could try a reset & see if that helps but at the end of the day you will most likely end up having to coax the beast out of its lair.
