Whirlpool washing machine

Hello, I have a 7 year old Whirlpool IPX4 washing machine. It has stopped taking its fabric conditioner into the drum. The draw and syphon are clean, it is hot and cold filling. The draw compartment for the condtitioner doesn't get any water into it to wash it out - it seems there is a diverter flap (which isn't seized) above it with some adjustment but I dont know how it works or if it moves during the cycle. Water is coming into the machine quick enough, the filter on the front bottom of the machine (pump filter?) is clean.

Can anyone suggest anything?
