Will a plasterer care about this?

I'm building a stud wall across an old corridor. Thing is, it is slightly more than 900mm wide. Rather than buy a wider plasterboard and cut it down, I was thinking of buying 900mm board and just filling the gaps down each side (about 1/2 inch) with polyfilla. Is that going to be a problem when it comes to hiring someone to skim it all?

Plasterboards are not that expensive. Probably cheaper than buying a tube of polyfilla, to purchase a 1200mm board rather than 900mm plus polyfilla.

Well it's boarded now. Still ended up with some 10mm gaps since the corridor walls are bowed. I just filled them since I don't know how else you're supposed to do it!
