Bought a house in October last year, since moving in, we've noticed stupid amounts of condensation in the master bedroom.

Everytime in the morning it's completely fogged up, some times there's a pool of water on the window ledge.

The house was built in 1995, no damp anywhere, but it does have wooden windows.

Could this be the cause? I've tried opening up the trickle vents but made no difference.

I even went around the edge of the window, with some silicone stuff, but it just peeled off again as the moisture got underneath, but did notice there is one on toolstation specifically for windows so might give that a go, doubt it'll help though

The wooden windows won't be the cause but single glazing and lack of overall ventilation probably will. Secondary glazing may help as would turning off the radiator during your nights sleep, (balancing the internal and external temperatures more closely)...pinenot :)

It is double glazing, but wooden.

We don't have the radiator on at night, only a few hours at most as the house is always warmish.

What things can be done for better ventilation. This happens in every room, but get the pool of water in the bedroom only
