window keys

Hello all

Just moved into my new house, and none of the windows have the keys to lock them! Where can I get new ones? How do i find out what make they are?

Put a photo up and someone will recognise them. Say if the window are plastic or wood, and what the locks appear to be made of.

I got a handful of spare keys FOC from one of the makers (I think it was Avocet but branded by a shed)

Ok,cant find the camera, but have gotten these details from the window frames.

Roto or Rota??

R610 C10 GR730 620-1000. The windows are plastic white, double galzed, and the locks at gold. Theres a small circle that the key goes into and this pops in and out.

it looks as if Roto is one of their brand names (they make a lot of stuff for own-brands on the medium-quality UK market)

Thanks for that. Had a look, and they look similar, but none match. So, I took the handle off the window, in the hope i could find a part number and nothing. The only thing on it was " FAB FIX and a very small "2" under the F of Fab.

ANy ideas!!!!

Contact the people who sold you the house.

If the keylock is in the "handle" part, and the handle part comes off, you might be able to get some new handles. Or see if any of your neighbours have the same kind and ask if you can borrow a key.

However, the cheaper way, if you think it might be the same brand, photograph the part, and send the pic, and all the numbers you can see, to the makers, and ask if they can provide spare keys.
