Hi. Just moved into a 1960's bungalow but I have discovered a very large gap under the windowsill which goes in about 7 inches, too large to just use a filler. There is cold air coming in from outside. Any ideas on how I can fix this without having to remove the windowsill/window frame?

It’s probably air coming from the cavity.

if it’s bigger than say 10mm use expanding foam, if less use silicone to seal the hole, don’t fill flush to the surface as you will need to use some plaster filler, like easifill and sand flush so you can paint over
