Hi, we had a valiant combi boiler and some new radiators put in about 2 years ago and since day 1 we have been having issues with the wireless room stat either not turning the heating on or off when its supposed too.
About 70% of the time it works fine and it seems random when it doesn't work having nothing to do with position, time of day or any other wireless appliance being on.
The heating engineers have replaced the stat and receiver 3 times, this last time with a different brand, but they basically don't have a clue about why theres a problem so we have given up trying to get them to fix the issue.
We we have a wood burning stove and open fire and we want to be able to use either the fires or the central heating or both with rads turned off downstairs so we need a wireless stat that we can move around the house.
This shouldn't be an issue of the stat being out of range as it usually sits around 10 feet from the receiver with just one wall (an exterior grade wall) between them.
The receiver is mounted about 1 foot away from the boiler, I've read that can cause interference but wasn't sure if it could really be the problem?
Basically the only ideas i have is to buy a decent honeywell stat and have the receiver mounted on the opposite side of the garage away from the boiler, or actually inside the house but we would love some advice from someone that knows about these systems.
Thank you very much for your help
