Hi,
We are buying a newly built terrace house. On the open in French windows the glass glazing is secured on the outside by wood beading strips with panel pins. The wood on the inside of the window has a solid rebate. Replacement glass had to be fitted from the outside and secured by the wood and pins. Can any kind soul advise if this method of fixing is correct?
Also there is one nice rebated internal bolt for the usually closed window but also 2 cheap sliding bolts to secure both doors at top - is this the norm or poor workmanship?
Any views much appreciated (just medically retired after 26 years servicing solar panel systems).
