I have an 1850 old cottage which has sandstone flags laid direct onto earth, half of the room has had concrete laid on top so not able to keep flags throughout the room. The room is 7m x 3m

I want to level the floor with something like stopgap 900 then lay a floating engineered wood floor on top. Obviously there is no dpc so I was going to use a dpm underlay and lay it upto the walls and then hide a few inches behind the skirting.

Will this work or should I do something else - Any help would be most appreciated
