Hi everyone,
The sill on our conservatory door is incredibly rotten. I believe it is due to lack of maintenance by the previous owner.
As you can see the door rail/track appears to be integrated into the sill itself. What would be the easiest/best way to renew the sill?
I'm pretty confident at DIY tasks being an electrician by trade however when it comes to sliding doors I have very little knowledge.
Am I likely to have to remove the doors from the conservatory to renew the rotten timbers? If so any pointers on how they may be fixed to the conservatory itself? I believe the left hand door jamb may also need splicing as there is signs of rot in the bottom 2 inches or so.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
Russ
