Can a non return valve be fitted to the mains water in pipework, on a Worecester CDI 30 installation.

It states in the instructions that it can cause a pressure build up that can inturn cause damage to the boiler, and that a mini expansion vessel should be fitted to prevent pressure build up.

I was led to believe that non return valves should be fitted to the cold water in pipework and had never heard of this problem.

Is it true for all boilers? Thanks

you will find that refers to fitting it on the incoming supply to the boiler

not at outlets etc ;)

If you have a water meter it will already have a non return valve and hence need a mini expnsion vesel

Thanks. I know the M.I are pretty clear, but it's just that I have never seen mini expansion vessels fitted to other boilers with non return valves fitted.
