I have one of these fitted in my caravan. Propane gas, about 4 years old.

Hot water - no problem.

Timed heating (more often than not) does not work. The fan operates when the heating (is supposed) to switch on. The heating can be operated by switching to constant.

Any help would oblige.

SOunds like it has to be the timer.
If it's the mechanical one, put it to timed, and during a supposedly "on" period, wiggle things about and it'll probably show an intermittent connection.
