worcester 240 combi bf doesnt like new owner

hello all
just moved in to my new old house !
boiler worked perfect from friday till today !
the wife had a bath and the the water and ch was fine then i went to have a bath and the boiler went whizz bang
so i lit the pilot and the boiler fired up for about 30 seconds then made loads of noises and switched off again then made a farting noise ! it did this for both the ch and water tried it a few times for both !
any ideas or should i just get british gas out ?
thanks please make my life livable again !

Checked the pressure?

It should be between 1 -1.5 bar Theres stuff i the FAQ's about it

That might sort you out for a bit but it sounds like it needs a bit of TLC from a Corgi engineer

Just to prepare you :- expect to hear the words 'faulty pump' and 'knackered pressure vessel' and/or 'pressure relief valve'.
