i queried this yesterday,,,,suspect aav....it is leaking...but would that really be enough to have a full drop by morning...is prv sus?...have ordered aav anyway as it is leaking into the comustion chamber...help

Advice is still the same....change the leaking component and while you're at it and the system is empty check the air pressure in the expansion vessel. If the pipe where the prv discharges is wet change that too. Yes the aav will cause a pressure drop overnight and also corrode through the combustion box scrapping the boiler, the reason you don't always see a big puddle is because most of it evaporates.
 
starting to make sense now....which the college lecturers made this much sense...how do i check the expansion vessel pressure?
