Assistance please.
This boiler is owned by a friend who husband has just died, and it was he who did the refilling so any advice would be appreciated.
The pressure gauge is currently reading zero, she informs me he used a special plastic tool for one particular job on the boiler but not sure if it was for refilling

The underside of the boiler has a panel that unclips (sometimes a little tight and needs a good tug). After the panel is removed look under the boiler and locate the hole into which the filling tool is inserted (left of centre). If you notice on the tool there are 2 plastic lugs opposite each other (they might have been snapped off over time) the hole for the tool has cut outs to accept these lugs. insert the tool fully and give it 1/4 turn any way. With the tool in you should be ready to fill. There is a thumbscrew to the right of the filling tool (usually a grey colour) turn it anticlockwise slowly until you hear water start to run, stop turning when you hear the water. watch the pressure guage until it reaches 1 bar then turn the thumbscrew clockwise to stop the water. don't overtighten the screw or you'll have to pull the knob off and use pliers to open it again.
