Worcester 9.24 elec.....cutting out nightmare!!!

Hi, the burner and pilot both go out after about 2 mins of running the taps,heating is fine.have fitted new pump,diverter,overheat and overun stats,dhw sensor and descaled the exchanger as i had other probs last year...driving me mad..any help please.

i would think dhw hx not descaled

Would it need changing? or can you de-scale it..and how? Thanks.

u can remove and soak in a descaling fluid. used caustic soda before, for really stubborn scale,

Caustic soda = sodium hydroxide = an alkaline solution. If you want to dissolve limescale or rust you'd be better off with an acid.

It is 15 years old so could be it.
