Hello Chaps,

My worcester bosch 35HE condensing combi supposedly has a 'keep hot' facility where the immediate use hot tap water is kept hot so when the hot tap is turned on, hot water is supplied quickly. However ours takes ages to supply hot water at the taps, we're really wasting water waiting for it to come through......

We have the TR20 room controller fitted. I have tried the 'immediate hot water' option both ON and OFF in the menu options and it doesn't make any difference.....

Any ideas anyone? Please?

Hi...Preheat is only any good if the boiler is right next to the taps. So in most cases its useless.
It only keeps a small amount of water in the boiler hot , so if you have a 10 metre run of pipe to the hot taps you still have to run all that cold water before the "preheated" water arrives.
Very misleading for the customer, as like yourself, people think that it will give "instant" hot water.
It does reduce the time it takes to get hot water "slightly" but will fire up the boiler for short periods 24/7, which costs money.
