I'm after a bit of advice on my Heatslave 15/19. It was originally installed during 2000 in a lean to boiler room at the back of our 1960 bungalow. During 2006 we removed the boiler, knocked down the lean to and built an extension (Building regs signed off in 2004). The boiler was reinstalled in the new extension during September and has been working fine since (I still think of it as being 'new').

At the time I was confident the boiler met latest regs as the model was current in September 2006 (very recently superceeded). In December I decided to put it on Worcester's service contract as it is approaching 'mid life'. As part of this it will get a service in the quiet season (April -> September). However, having watched this forum for the last 6 months i'm much less confident! My questions are ...

1. Is it O.K to install this boiler in the new extension? If not, I will probably delay the final building inspection until the boiler is closer to end of life and can be replaced.

2. If it is O.K, is there a deadline by which I need to get it commisioned (paperwork for final building inspection). Ideally, I would like to wait until the boiler has been serviced under the service contract over the summer.

Your boiler is no more than 25% of it's way through life.

You have to April to get it moved, or it may have to be a condensing boiler.

Don't mess about with Worcester's contract get a local independant guy.

Why do I get called out when Worcester can't fix something?
