Hello peeps,
I’m about to embark on cutting a hole in a worktop for a ceramic hob. According to hob manual, external dimensions are 600 x 510 (mm) and the hole dimensions are 560+4+1 and 490+4+1, respectively. I find this a tad confusing and I’m not sure why it doesn’t just say 565 x 495 for the hole dimensions. As this is kind of critical to the hole thing (excuse pun), i wonder if anyone understands why the dimensions are stated this way. The manual doesn’t attempt to explain it. Thanks in anticipation. Keith

If you measure the underside of the hob & it is 560mm x 490mm then my guess would be that is a misprint & should say +4 & -1 so it can be between 564mm & 559mm x 494mm & 489mm

If you don’t physically have the hob yet, wait!
If you do, measure it!
