Would You

Not if I wanted to finish the job sometime this century.

Some/most of us can solder without setting stuff on fire.

Not wishing to blow my trumpet too much, but I can solder right up against wall paper without a heat mat and not scorch anything.

When the mood takes me

Two minutes per joint does seem too long although I like the concept of it. I also like the idea of the baffle on the front although in practice it would be full of solder.

Would have preferred to see it being used one inch away from a skirting board rather than in a vice.

I don't think I would buy one!

not sure why it needed a demonstration. Title was enough.
I guess its ok for diyers who dont wanna fork out for a blowtorch etc but no pro is gonna do that if they are any good. Like dan said you can avoid burning stuff by being careful and using a good fine tip on your blowtorch

Still got it, keep it in glovebox, rarely use it, only if blowtorch run out of gas during pipework.... ;)

15mm bits work very well, 22mm bits take a bit longer.

Lost your bits? Cos your van is a mess and untidy? ;)

Daniel

Got one - failed to use it once. Lost the bits.

Crap.

Same here, they're pile of sh.te!! What's wrong with a few scorch marks anyway?? At least the home owner will know where you've been working & where to Hoover up after you, it gives these OAPs something to do - a bit of painting!
