Hi All

Im need some advice, I had the idea of installing Larch cladding to the front of my house currently to Flip! I assumed a light oak wood stain wood be suitable tthat UV protected.

It looks terrible...ALMOST ORANGE COLOUR!!! i need to tone it down with an alternative colour or sand it off.

I am trying to achive an Oak desired look.

any suggestion???

It might look terrible to you, might not to a potential buyer

Sanding it off is not good, it would probably make new stain go patchy.

If it’s a solvent based stain, you might try some thinners, but still risky

If you put stain over the top, you will have to go much darker

Personally I would let it go
