hi have a problem with machine.
wont empty out water after wash...
the green light flashes twice indicating water in machine.
check pump by eye (not removed) all clear
drainage ok if set to drain on machine.(drains during wash ok .)
just does not want to drain before spinning.
fine with no load in machine .
checked hoses in machine seem ok.
and what does it mean by inbalance in instructions?
thanks
Im lost
cheers steve.

in balance means for example, you put in 1 sweatshirt (nothing else) to be washed, when it spins it beingas its only 1 item it can only be in one place, there for it will spin out of balance (becasue all the weight is on one side) so it may not spin it.

if there were more than 1 item it will "spread them around" so they are even so not out of balance

being out of balance is what makes a m/c jump when it spins.

a bit like having a car tyres balanced, without the extra lead weights when the wheel spins you feel the vibration

update (weds /4/05)

still not behaving.

still not going but getting worse.
when turned on machine comes up with water in drum.but there is no water in it
pump is all clean and free(cleaned connection )
there is slight rust on pump. . removed hoses and checked all clear.
possible there is a dirty sensor?
help.
or is it time for a call out.

a m/c thinks there is water in it because there is a "bottle" that fills as the main drum fills, the air in theis bottle, gets compressed, this in turn opertaes a pressure swutch.

it could either be the prssure switch or the littlele bottle.

the bottle may be blcoked with soap scum, as for where yours is i have no idea, but on a hp it is on the side of main drum at front, a creada it is on the front.

i forgot to mention, its also known as a bannana, guess why (clue, its not yellow)

ok will have a look for it
cheers :)

i think i found what you mean .
nothing blocked on hose
goes into a white circular thing with about 8 wires on it
took white thing it off and gave it a suck
its like a diaphram thing .
like on a car distributer no air leaks just clicked when sucked!
seems to have happened after moving house !
or that might just be total coincedence.
ps .how would i check the pump

pump wont go at all now
found a sock in it the other day but still no go.

Only just joined, so didn't see previous posts.

It certainly is either a problem with your pressure switch or pressure switch hose.

Normally I would advise to remove the hose completely and pour some very hot water down it (careful not to scald yourself) and give the tube a good bang to clear any build up of scum.

This is the only reason why the machine would think there is water in the drum if the drum is empty (unless board is gone, but less likely).
