Connecting 110mm drainage pipe to 43mm sink waste

Hi,

I have one of these

and wish to connect 43mm drainage pipe coming from sink directly in so they are in line. ie both pipes running in same direction.

How to do it ?

What do you mean?

Are you connecting the sink waste to the drain? If so, you need a drain connector - google for DC3-BL

I take it you wish to connect the sink waste into the top of the 110mm pipe? Need something akin to this: http://www.screwfix.com/p/universal-waste-adaptor/51416 however, if using that particular adaptor, you will need to fit a short piece of pipe into the socket or it wont fit.

If the joint is to be internal, i'd personally use a rigid version such as: http://www.plastics-express.co.uk/u...10mm/110mm-single-waste-adaptor-40mm-p-pte384 which will fit into a 110mm socket.

imagine threading a thin bit of wire through a long bit of 100mm pipe and then through a long bit of 43mm pipe and then pulling the wire tight so the wire is straight. Then align both pipes centrally on the axis of the wire so the pipes are in line.

Both pipes in fact sit flat on the ground ( with necessary slight incline )

ok for that arrangement i.e. good seal when flat ?

It's for 40 mm.
Is 43 mm ok ?

The part you have linked is fine, fitted correctly (and any pipework supported as necessary to prevent any movement) wont leak. Will need a suiatble lubricant on the rubber seals in the 110mm though to joint or you'll displace the seals.

I'd use that as opposed to the flexible type in a horizontal application. 43mm is the outside diameter of the waste, it'll fit, no problem.
