Connecting 110mm drainage pipe to 43mm sink waste

imagine threading a thin bit of wire through a long bit of 100mm pipe and then through a long bit of 43mm pipe and then pulling the wire tight so the wire is straight. Then align both pipes centrally on the axis of the wire so the pipes are in line.

The part you have linked is fine, fitted correctly (and any pipework supported as necessary to prevent any movement) wont leak. Will need a suiatble lubricant on the rubber seals in the 110mm though to joint or you'll displace the seals.

I'd use that as opposed to the flexible type in a horizontal application. 43mm is the outside diameter of the waste, it'll fit, no problem. ;)
