Hi
A customer wants me to re-paint the window sill tiles on the outside of his house. The tiles have been painted before but without removing any flaking paint resulting in an uneven surface. I am not happy to just paint over them again and would like to ask the best way to prepare them.
The tiles are slate. Would it be best to fill the uneven areas with an exterior filler or to remove the whole layer of paint? What about using an orbital sander on them. The row of tiles is a bout twenty feet long so sanding by hand would be a bit of a bore.
An advice appreciated.
Thanks
