Hi

Can anyone shed any information on what the difference is between the two lights apart from looks and price, the first is listed as a halogen floodlight whereas the second is listed as an Anti-Light Spill Floodlight.

The anti- spill should offer better direct light, where the standard floodlight will spread the beam wider, often wasted light and can cause light pollution for neighbours enjoyment.
Other than that, the anti-spill that you have pictured, is far easier to fit.

I fitted one of those anti spill floods last year. The PIR was so dreadful it ended up being replaced for something which actually worked 2 weeks later.

Very little.

Both halogen.
Both are far too powerful.
Both probably contravene Building Regulations when fitted.
Both are cheap and very nasty, probably last a week or three before failing.
