hi:)

i'm looking to fit an over bath glass shower screen onto a dot dab wall with aircrete blocks behind them.

i've read up on drilling tiles etc and think i know what i'm doing there.

the fixings that have come with the screen say solid wall only, any recommendations on what would be a safe way of attaching it to what i have?

many thanks for your time

Long screws with plugs into the blocks, don't screw too tight as there is obviously a gap between the plasterboard and the blocks. Run some silicone down the shower door "post" to help attach it to the tiles and it won't budge. :)

Drill holes for plugs, squirt a load of no nails into hole to provide added grip for plugs as well as create a solid bridge between plasterboard and blocks. Push plugs into place, right the way into the blocks. Leave at least overnight or longer if you can wait for it to go off, then screw carefully.
