HI All,
I would like some info on replacing a wooden back door/ window frame in a cica 1950 veranda that has a geogian glass roof that is currently suported by the wooden lintal above the door.
The current lintal has bowed slightly and is located into a single party wall at one side and the house wall at the other.
I am aware the UPVC frames are not load bearing so assume the lintal would require replacing although it is not rotten. The difficuly I see is that this was presumably built in place.
I enclose a photo of the set up any suggestions welcome
Many Thanks
Zeberdy
